This is the second time i got lucky to witness an egret having lunch....
I knew they ate fish & amphibians but never saw a lizard meal.
The picture was taken through the car's window, camera hand held, Iso 200. shutter priority, 1/800, at 300mm. EV +0.3, spot metering.
This is one of a series of pics i took ( documenting the whole meal from start to tail.. er finish..).

Hope you like it.
Btw: my previous picture was a frog meal....

Very good catch for both of you, Ido. I love these action shots! The egret's eye seems to show the resolute will of having a good lunch. Hot sun on back feathers are burning them somewhat, but the action is so well caught that this is just a detail.

Very nice photo!
Great situation captured very good. I like colours and BG, as well as the composition and POV.
And what about the lizard, I think they have to be tasty. Why? I didn't believed my eyes when my cat bring one and ate it. It is really weird cause he don't like to eat neither mice nor birds ;-)
Thanks for sharing

Great capture Ido, i have also seen them do this but not when i've had a camera with me. A cracking shot, the only nit is a little washed out on the back of the egret.
Still a great capture though.
Well done!

Awesome shot Ido.
It looks like the little lizard is trying to jump down the birds neck. Really well captured, and excellent detail. Thanks for posting.

Good Capture of this Egret having a meal. Color and detail are good. Perfect timing on this one. Nice Job!

Spectacular action shot Ido. Very good DOF and POV. Nice job

Great shot, porr frog. Not a nit.
Very well done.

Unbelievable!! I would have been glad with just a decent shot of an Egret and look at you! :) And then you tell us that you shot it through the carwindow! It's great ... Well done! What a great shot. I love the fact the lizzard is loose from the beak, it's tumbling through the air.

Ahh... lunch time. great capture of this beautiful bird. The feathers are a little over exposed but taking pictures of a white bird is always extremely difficult.

Tahanks for sharing!

Fantastic shot Ido. Interesting object and great moment. Excellent capture with good details. Perfect. Thanks for posting.
Yes, I like it!

Hi Ido:
This shot is fantastic! How fortunate to snap it as the bird tossed it to get a better position for swallowing. It's a little overexposed on the bird's back, but it's no big deal. When a picture is this good, who cares!
great detail and colour.
A job very well done!
