[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the kingfisher that I posted here: http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Middle_East/Israel/photo7318.htm

After getting so close to it, it had 'decided' that this is enough and flew away from the branch that it stood on.

The picture here is a full frame picture, unfotunatly it is not sharp enough in full frame, but it is my best catch of this little creature.

I hope you will like it.

You should be quite near if this is a full frame, and very good moment, just about to fly. I would have cropped a bit more on the left. The pose is very curious, it looks like a cartoon, I like it. TFP.

Spot on action, and well caught, sorry about the dimes. I stay wil my previous comment, but for that, this is so well done!

Belle présentation de ce magnifique oiseau en pleine action. Les couleurs sont juste et le background offre un jolie contraste avec le sujet. Merci et félicitations.

Superb shot Elroyie,
Great capture of the kingfisher taking to the air.
Thanks for posting

Very good catch, Elroyie. Wings down is giving an original image, and it works really well, frozen like that. Kind of very rewarding shot. Wish it was mine :-)

It's sharp enough on the head and that's what matters the most. I like it, the feeling of movement is good. The exposrure and composition are good too. Well done.

Elroyie, As Paul has said, its sharp where it counts..A difficult subject so small..good sense of motion conveyed also..Well done!

Good work, Elroyie. You succeeded in showing the movement while keeping the head sharp. The colors are also very well rendered. Nit: the two branches (trees?) on either side distracted me. Maybe you could have cloned/blurred. It's always easy to criticize :) Nonetheless, a great photo, Elroyie, Thanks for showing us.

Excellent work Elroyie.
Perfcet timing, soft colours and POV.
I agree with Paul- it's sharp enough on the bird face and the face is the most important part of bird photographing.
Well done.

Excellent timing/luck Elroyie. A little soft in focus but they move real fast when they move so IMO you did a great job. The colours are spot on and I really like the look. The bulrry wings adds a very nice feeling of movement and speed.

Nice capture. A teeny weeny fraction soft, probably because it's moving forward in take-off.
Anyway, I pay homage to anybody who can catch a kingfisher in a way where you can actually see what it is ;-))

Well at the speed he is moving i is not surprising its not completely sharp , but still worth posting , I would be tempted to blurr the OOF twig even more so it does not distract so much.

Magical moment Elroyie. Splendidly captured. Great detail on the kingfisher and nice blurred wings for action.
Very well done.

Nice shot, I just find the branch on BG a bit distracting.
Well done.
TFS.

This marvelous! You captured it at just the right moment. So much more better than birds just sitting on a branch. And the fact that the face is in sharp focus; that makes it marvelous.

very good result of this "speedy". i know he is very quickly and it's practically impossible to make an action shot!

Elroyie, the bird is very nice, and I think you did a great job. I even like the blur in the wings. Nice pov and pose.
