| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Blackstart (Cercomela melanura) is a small chat 14-16 cm living in desert areas. It is easily recognized by its black tail which it opens and closes frequently.
The one here was pictured near Hazeva in the Arava, Israel. Given its colored rings it seemed to have participated at some research. It was very curious and approached us to less than one meter so it seems that it had enjoyed the research and trust people. |

Hello Shahar,
You show a shot of a bird that I wish I could have photographed when I was in Yotvata north of Eilat.
This shot is sharp and quite well presented, the uniform grey and the black tail showing well.
TFS, regards, Ivan
nice pic, try to sharpen a little more or even increase a little contrast, TFS Ori
Hi Shahar
Welcome to TN
I love this little fella. His alert pose has allowed you to show good clear details. Lovely work. Seasons greetings to you and your family. :-)
