[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Image was taken in the winter grounds of eastern Europe cormorants.
Some 10,000 birds come here each winter and can be watched up close.
This chap was scratching all over and cleaning himself (see feathers on the beak). But when he got to his head things were starting to get complicated.... what a great balance!

Hello Shir,
charmingly lively portrait of a cormorant obviously feeling unobserved in his winter holidays in brightly sunny Israel.
I like that very dynamic and artistic composition showing the elegant curve of the naked branch, and the clear blue sky as a perfect background.
Thank you! Best regards,
Peter

hi Shir,

question :it's to control mouvement with this lens ?

I love it ! Great POV, good contrast and creates a storyline.

That cormorant is out on a limb and the photo makes you wonder what happened next; their feet aren't exactly designed for perching let alone doing a shakey balancing act.

Ricardo

Hi Shir,

I love this one! What timing to catch him in the act of scratching.
