Not 5 minutes from the center of Netanya, an attractive seaside resort in Israel, you can come across this small idilic place just off the cliffside going south.The locals call it "Ha-Shlulit" - "The Puddle".
It is a small seasonal lake that during the winter months collects some of the local rainfall and lasts until the beginning of summer.It is a good spot to watch migrating birdlife and also a place to get away from the bustle of daily life and breathe a bit of fresh air.
We had a stormy weekend and for this one I waited till the storm clouds passed so as to get the first rays of light and those beautiful deep colours.
The specks above the trees are members from a group of crows that circled. |

I like the colour combination, with the green, brownish and blue!
Seems like this wetland is attracting many birds, which reminds me of yesterday when I was driving past a pond with some open cracks in the ice sufficient for some 10-12 swans, in spite the temperature was -12 C...
This is a peaceful landscape, presented in a fine composition!
