Cyclamen persicum is one of the most famous of Israeli wild flowers. It is protected and every child learns about it in school. In Jerusalem one can find lots of them emerging from soil pockets within the limestone rocks.

I have always seen this as a pot plant.
It is very nice to see it for once in the wild.
