Superb close-up image, Elroyie.
Both seem to be surprised at the developments :-)!
The water sticking to the lovely plumage of the kingfisher is like a beauty spot on this fantastic capture.

This is by far the most stunning photo of this page, IMO (but I must admit that I am partial, because I always loved so much kingfishers) - and I'll have a look at your other kingfishers, as I am new to this website.
I wonder how you could get such an even background, though - did you change something, apart from cutting the picture ?

Hi Elroyie.
I still remember the one you posted with the fish inserted and the drop, maybe the favourite in my favourites :)
This one is almost as good, with excellent quality in all aspects and a great moment captured with the open mouth an frontal POV. Congratulations.

Hi Elroyie,
Outstanding action shot catched!
I like so much the pose of the bird, and the excellent detail of the fish on their beak, the story told about the food chain.
Details got on the bird's feathers are so sharp and clear, a very good ones.
The clean and soft background gets the best of the colorful subject.
A remarkable picture!
Congratulations and thanks for share.
My best regards,
JM

There's no doubt that the fish was surprised !! It is an award winning capture I would say. Looks like your 1.4x converter works well with that lens. I have heard conflicting reports. Some stores will only sell them for 2.8 L series lenses because the return rate is so high.???

Hello Elroyie,
As your other pictures of this bird this one is just amazing! How a fish can show some emotion? Like at this picture! Poor little creature, it is looking straight at you like it was begging for your help… It is really a stunning catch, a priceless one in fact as you caught perfectly a moment that might have last for a few seconds. Colors, composition, details, POV are really stunning. One says that pictures worth a 1000 words, it couldn’t be more evident here…A great wild life shot, TFS,

Hi Elroyie,
This is another breathtaking photo of yours!
Fantastic point of view and great details.
However, the image is too contrastic. The dark areas are too dark in my opinion. Did you increase the contrast by software ?

Shahar
