[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A Battle of the Titans on one of the many red Anemone Coronaria in full bloom down in the woods by my house.

The struggle of daily life is felt by all both big and small.I think the bee came out worst for ware in this one.

great action capture. technical details aren't great, a bit of blur too little DOF, but i'm amazed you could capture this at all. good work!

Hello David,
I like where you were going with this one..
I can't see from your shooting data what ISO you have used..
What I can see is that you needed a slightly faster shutter and probably a higher ISO for this shot. I always use tripod and and remote shutter with mirror-lock for shots at 1/100th and below. I've shot these spiders alot. They are perfect tripod subjects because when they have prey, the're busy sucking the life out of their subjects :)
Your shot is well composed with good detail and the red flower makes a great BG. Good exposure and color. Some camera shake is evident in the shot though...
TFS!

Hi David,
What's going on in this beautiful flower? Terrible hidden secrets! Excellent capture.
Bonne journée
Anne

Hello David,
Those colors are stunning and this is a very good moment caught! This spider looks like the crab spider I have in my garden but mine are yellow :) Details are OK on the insect but it looks like they very moving faster than this shutter speed could handle ;) Well seen. Thanks,
Claudine

A fascinating battle captured for us here and I must say that the BG is quite perfect: blood-red!

Hello David,
Excellent catch of a decisive moment in nature! Great technical execution here. I like the composition and the colors, too. Very well done.

bonjour david
excellente netteté sur l'araignée et sa proie,en revanche vous auriez pu essayer de fermer d'avantage le diaphragme pour avir touts les etamines dans le champ.

Hi Dave,
An excellent subject and fantastic colors.
The image lacks some sharpness maybe because of camera shake a tripod would be useful.
Seems these woods are extremely productive!

Hi David it is so good to see a permitted cultivated flower on TN - hurrah for the spider and how sad for the bee! Well composed and the vibrant colours show up well. TFS
Janice

Exceptional capture, and the colors just jumped off the screen in the thumbnail! Very nice details!
Cheers
