On my screen the image does look a little overexposed Ram, but it's a very nice image with wonderful warm color tones anyway.

Great, Ram,
you puzzle us with this very good shot of a strange beauty. As a biologist I am scratching my head to find out whether the animal is actually a Hymenopteran, or rather a Dipteran mimicking a wasp. Dipterans have halteres instead of hind wings. Maybe you have more shots and can check this out. What a succesfull mimicry it is, if it is! Thanks for entertaining us all with this shot!

I think your eyes have definitely been sharpened in Riyadh to observe the small creatures on this planet! This capture of whatever wasp shows very sharp details and interesting pale colours. Just observing the eyes of these tiny creatures is stunning!!

Hello Ram,
It is sometimes very interesting to know in which conditions pictures are taken. Your description is just great. We can imagine you in the little garden looking out for the tiniest sign of life, not caring about high temperatures. This shot of this beautiful little wasp is excellent , very clearr and with good sharpness.

Hello Ram,
That this is some species of wasp is beyond doubt, but for me giving you the ID is another matter. I can only guess that this is some species of Solitary, rather than Social Wasp.
Excllent macro with good sharpness and detail, perhaps when compared to the original, a little too much shadow and contrast reduction.
Though you have restricted access to nature, you make full use of what is available to you, Ram, and I like reading your stories of how you set about doing this.

Anything that looks like a wasp...and I am out of the room in a heartbeat. So allergic. Yet I know there are many non protein poison barb beasts in this world. We have one up in the mountains, who is non stinging yet chases one prey only and that is the hobo spider. Seeing as the hobo spider is a bad feller, it is nice to know it has a predator.

Fine depiction. You will soon return to India? It will be an interesting comparison as of late. Your pictures are all so very informative...

Hi Ram,

It looks like a wasp that I wouldn't want to get so close to. Wonderful colors and details - lovely composition on the green leaf.

Very interesting notes. Don't know how you can be out there in the heat of the day. I try to limit outdoor activities to early morning and late afternoon.

Yesterday I came back from field practices with my students and tomorrow I am going for the next ones so that is the reason why I did not comment you pictures last days :)

And this is a really splendid presentation! Very interesting object and very well presented! :) I like POV, DOF and colours. Note of course too :)
Maybe only flash reflections would be reduced a little but I still like a lot this picture :)
