Trithemis annulata (Palisot de Beauvais, 1807) - Erguvani Yusufçuk [TR], Purple blushed darter [EN] is a member of the family Libellulidae of the suborder Anisoptera. T. annulata is one of about 45 species of the genus Trithemis.
The individual on the photograph was a adult male with purple blushed colors.
Only the males of Trithemis have this reddish color purpurin so characteristic and covering the unit with the body as well as the veins of the wings.
The male of the Scarlet Dragonfly (Crocothemis erythraea) is similar to T. annulata, but it has yellow wing spots and an abdomen widened like Trithemis. However the legs remain clear.
Sympetrum spp., especially S. sanguineum, also have a red but narrower abdomen and never not transfering with the crimson as at T. annulata.
Flying period is April to mid-October.
It is distributed in Mediterranean Basin (Spain, Portugal, Italy, former Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkiye and North African countries, also the Middle East) and probably Iran.
In Turkiye, it has been recorded in Turkish Mediterranean (Akdeniz) region, from izmir to Hatay and also eastwards to Ş.Urfa.
Fallowing forms are regarded as valid subspecies;
Trithemis annulata annulata (Palisot de Beauvois, 1807)
Trithemis annulata haematina (Rambur, 1842)
Trithemis annulata scorteccii Nielsen, 1936

Ahmet very nice shot and probably from a wrong angle. The upper angle gives the look but frontal view would have been great. TFS ganesh
Merhaba Ahmet,
I like your pink dragonfly very much.
The colours are wonderful and I love dragonflies so much, they are so amazing insects - so old - coming from dinosaur-times.
Thanks for sharing yours, bye and greetings
