[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is second post from Honaz Dağı [Mountain] National Park located in Denizli Province. Its mainly vegetated by red-pine (Pinus brutia).
Its bird fauna very rich, but the list yet finished. I think much more than one hundred species. One of them is Parus ater Linnaeus, 1758 - Çam Baştankarası [TR], Coal Tit [EN]. It is also called as Periparus ater in some literature.
Five species of the family Paridae occurs in Turkiye. All of them belongs to the genus Parus Linnaeus, 1758. These are
….. Parus palustris Linnaeus, 1758 – Kayın Baştankarası (Marsh Tit) (syn. Poecile palustris),
….. Parus lugubris Temminck, 1820 – Akyanaklı Baştankara (Sombre Tit) (syn. Poecile lugubris),
….. Parus ater Linnaeus, 1758 – Çam baştankarası (Coal Tit) (syn. Periparus ater),
….. Parus caeruleus Linnaeus, 1758 – Mavi Baştankara (Blue Tit) (syn. Cyanistes caeruleus),
….. Parus major Linnaeus, 1758 – Büyük Baştankara (Great Tit).

I took this photograph along trekking way among pine forest in Honaz Mountain National Park, under shadow of trees. I hope you will like this cute passerine bird and its shot. best wishes
