Oh, what a pose. Timing was everything here and your patience obviously paid you dividends. It's almost as if the bird is giving you a blessing on the photo.

I just love every bit of this shot. The POF (slightly from the bottom up), the composition (with the branch delivering the bird from the bottom right hand corner and the spread wings almost filling the frame), the colours (enhanced by the soft early morning light), the detail (perked up by the range of the DOF and the fast shutter speed), and the exposure (complimented by the cloudy skies to provide a yielding overall lighting).

Very beautiful capture of Bee-eater in action. Very sharp details combined with good lighting showing all smallest details like the poor Bee. Great pose, composition and bright colours even with those dark clouds. Excellent work.

Selene, you have outdone yourself in this image.
Wow, what a moment to capture when the bird is just settling down on the branch to eat its breakfast held in its beak!
At shutter speed 1/2000, you captured the fast action with immaculate clarity and got yourself a neat and noiseless BG of a grey sky.
The image is perfect in terms of focus, sharpness, clarity and colours.
