Hello Hurmuz,
This is an excellent macro shot of the dragonfly. I love the details, natural colors and composition. Well done.TFS
Pearl.
hi Hurmuz,
excellent capture in nice pose of this Sympetrum meridionale
best regards sERGIO
A beautiful dragonfly depicted in sharp focus and fine pattern and colouring Hurmuz, the pleasantly OOF BG nicely enhances the contours of the specimen. I think the white balance was slightly off-center during the exposure, tried to correct it in my WS, hope you like it.
Cheers,
Mehmet
Hi Hurmuz
Welcome at TrekNature.
Very good picture. Sharp and with natural colours.
You have probably noticed red dots on the dragonfly wings. These are the most probably mites that are comensals of some insects.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Hurmuz!
I received you email, I will try to help you (as much as I can) with identification of your insects :)
I will start with this dragonfly. This is a member of genus Sympetrun (most probably male of S. striolatum or S.meridionale, and what is very interesting, this specimen has on its wings larvae of water mites (Hydracarina). I was lucky to observed some specimen of another Sympetrum species in Montenegro with such parasites. Here you can see my picture :)
I really believe that our pictures are the only ones here in TN gallery which presents parasites on Odonata wings!
My best greetings from Lodz,
Radomir
