[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Larus armenicus - Van Gölü Martısı [TR], Armenian Gull [EN] was introduced to the yellow-legged gull species, L. argentatus, as like L. cachinnas and L. michahellis. Recently, these three species elevated to species level. Of these, L. armenicus is also known "Van Lake' Gull", which is the biggest lake in Turkiye and this gull commonly breed in the lake basin. It also breeds in Tuz Gölü [Salt Lake] area. In winter, we can meet it in Eastern Akdeniz [Turkish Mediterranean] region.
It ranges in Georgia, Armenia, NW Iran and Turkiye. It winters in Israel, Lebanon, Turkish coastal zone. It can be seen in minor groups in Cyprus, Egypt and Basra Gulf.

The shot was taken in Bülbilan Yaylası [High Pleteau], Ardanuç (Artvin Prov.) in dark couldy condition. It was getting dry after bath. You can see two other shots in flight (photo 1) and among flowers (photo 2).

All three photos of this special species are very beautiful. Great natural colours, excellent sharpness, details and DOF. Good composition with a very nice pose.

Merhaba Ahmet,
An interesting capture of the Armenian Gull caught in an unusual pose!:) with excellent sharpness and lighting and well composed with the dark BG. Though I prefer the WS shot with the flowers, as it shows the features of this new species, including the darker red on the bill.

Interesante documento Ahmet. Yo no entiendo casi nada de aves pero considero que los expertos han de saber valorarla en su medida. Ténue luz muy atractiva.
