[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am scorpion specialist, but I wont upload a scorpion today. I will add an insect looks like a scorpion. This is Panorpa communis Linnaeus, 1758 - Akrep Sineği [TR], Scorpionfly [EN] (MECOPTERA: PANORPIDAE). Its male has a pair of clasper at the end of tail and so its tail is similar to scorpion's telson and general appearance is similar to a scorpion. This part is used for copulation and holding by female.
Up to now, six species of the family Panorpidae have been recorded from Turkiye: These are
*** Panorpa aspoecki,
*** Panorpa pieperi,
*** Panorpa schweigeri,
*** Panorpa tatvana,
*** Panorpa germanica,
*** Panorpa hybrida.

The photograph was taken in front of window glass, by camera on hand. I hope you will like it.

It is really nice to see another zoologists among TN members, especially specialist in invertebrates :)
This is not a scorpion of course, but has "scorpion" in its name :) Interesting object and nice DOF. By the way, do you know that expect scorpionfly there is also a waterscorpion? It is member of genus Nepa (Heteroptera) :>
