[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The newt is Triturus vittatus ophryticus. It can distinguisable easily from other Turkish newt species with its lateral silver line. This is male and males have large crista.
Somebody think the newts are lizards. Maybe they look like lizards. Actually, newts are amphibians and they have skin with mucous and they are different with their some other anatomical differences.
This photograph was taken several minutes ago an aquarium close to natural conditions.

PS: I have just corrected its subspecific name as ophryticus instead of ophyriticus after
my teacher dear Professor Mehmet K. ATATÜR warned and so I wish to thanks Dr. ATATÜR who one of the most important autority on Turkish herpetology, for their valuble comments.

Really nice pose of this amphibian, I like the detail of its skin mozaic, I never seen this animal before but I guess it live in cold water in sub-tropic country, TFS
