Haematopus ostralegus (TUR: Poyrazkuşu, ENG: Oystercatcher, Da. Strandskade, Du. Scholekster, Fi. Meriharakka, Fr. Huîtrier pie, Ge. Austernfischer, It. Beccaccia di mare, No. Tjeld, Sp. Ostrero, Sw. Strandskata):

This is the second photo of the same bird. First one was four days ago. This is a rare bird in Turkey. Its Turkis name means windbird. Turkey is in the summer breeding range of this bird.

The bold black and white plumage of an Oystercatcher is distinctive enough even without the long bright red bill which confirms its identity. In winter plumage they have an extra white mark on the throat.

Regards.

Mustafa merhaba , arkadaki dalga güzel bir etki yaratmış , nadir bir türün yine başarılı bir fotosu , eline sağlık .

Hello Mustafa

Very nice picture of a beautiful bird and I know for sure how difficult it is to get close to them as they are very shy.

Very clever handling of the light without burning the white parts of the bird. Nice focus with plenty of details and a very nice blurred background. All in a very nice composition with the bird out of centre. All over a very pleasant picture to look at.

Well done
Mogens

Hello Mustafa. I can see many friends from Turkey in TN and all seem to have captured beautiful birds. This one is gorgeous and excellent sharpness and color. I like the way it lifted the foot above the water. Nice capture and well done. Regards. Jusni
