Charadrius dubius (Little Ringed Plover) [in Turk. Halkalı Küçük Yağmurcun, Küçük Halkalı Cılıbıt]

It was very excited for me to see this beautiful bird which is accociated with sea in an inner land area (Kayapa, Ilıca, Erzurum) near a small spring water while it was breeding period.

TFL and Have a nice day!
Cheers,

Adult Little Ringed Plovers have a grey-brown back and wings, a white belly, and a white breast with one black neckband. They have a brown cap, a white forehead, a black mask around the eyes with white above and a short dark bill. The legs are flesh-coloured and the toes are all webbed.

This species differs from the larger Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula) in leg and beak colour, the head pattern, and the presence of a clear yellow eye-ring.

Their breeding habitat is open gravel areas near freshwater, including gravel pits, islands and river edges in Europe and western Asia. They nest on the ground on stones with little or no plant growth. Both male and female take turn to incubate the eggs.

They are migratory and winter in Africa. These birds forage for food on muddy areas, usually by sight. They eat insects and worms.

Hi Bayram
Beautiful smal bird. Photo taken in natural surrounding with quite good exposure in a strong sun. I think that you could do a little higlights reduction Sharpness is very good, background is not disturbing

Good Morning, Bayram!

As always, another great closeup shot from a beautiful bird!
The colors of its feathers and eyes of this bird are just adorable. The blurred BG is giving nice contrast to the colors of the bird. Wonderful composition!
