Here is the answer, a hedgehog! i think it was not so hard question! Anyone who a bit familiar to them can easily guess it. These cute animals is really one of my favourites, i know very well them from my childhood. They are generally shy creatures, it is pleasure to see them walking slowly around and turn in a spiky ball if you get them close!

When i took this photo, i was working on an insect with full concentration. At that moment i heard some cracles around me, i didn't want to lose my attention, thought that it could be a cat or something familiar. A bit later i finished and look for the reason of the cracles, saw this cute hedgehog. i got there and it was so scared and imidated as dead! i felt sorry about that, i took some photos and left it behind.

By the way we moved to Anatolian side of the Istanbul 5 months ago due to my profession. So unfortunately i had to leave my treasure behind my back! Our sweet garden! So this is why i couldn't upload so much photos these days. Although there is a pretty nice forest close to our new home, it's still need 15 minutes to reach there by bus. That i understand one time again, i was too lasy to get there. But in my garden it was too easy to reach!

One another note, this year we have quite hot summer here and i don't think that there are so colourful life at the forest except ticks!!!

Hehe, nice spiky guy :-) Funny pose, really looks like corpse :-) Sorry to hear that you left your garden. I know what you feel - Botanic Garden is only about 5 minutes by feet from my flat but sometimes I'm to tired to leave house :-)

Hello Ersin,

Wow! What an adorable hedgehog... We don't have that animal in Quebec and he looks so sweet! It is interesting also to learn that he mimics death (I love those behavioral pictures!!!)... Sorry to learn that you had to leave your plenty of life garden... Hope you'll find another wildlife place not so far from your new home...

Cheers!

Michel
