The mosquito (colloquially referred to as "mozzies" or "mossies" in English-speaking countries except North America, also informal term in entomology) and skeeter (some areas of North America) [1][2][3]) is a member of the family Culicidae; these insects have a pair of scaled wings, a pair of halteres, a slender body, and long legs. The females of most mosquito species suck blood from other animals. Size varies but is rarely greater than 15 mm (0.6 inch). Mosquitoes weigh only about 2 to 2.5 mg (0.03 to 0.04 grain). A single flight can last about 4 to 5 minutes. They can fly at about 1.5 to 2.5 km/h (0.9 to 1.6 mph) and most species are nocturnal

Hello Ridvan.
I think it is a very nice capture of this long legged fellow.
You got a nice DOF despite of the small F value, and congratulations for the steady hands.
I am not an expert on insects, but I would say this is not a mosquito but a "tipula" from tipulidae family.

Hello Ridvan
Very nice macro image with very good sharpness and exposure.
Details and light are wonderful, but the mosquito is a little to much centered in the frame imho.
Would have been nicer with a little more space on top and the left hand side and a little less space on the right hand side.
Nevertheless very nice shot.
