Michauxia campanuloides is a herbaceous monocarpic biennial that inhabits rocky outcrops and cliffs of Turkey, Syria, Israel and Lebanon. The plant proved to be dichogamous, with temporally separated staminate and pistillate phases. The retractive mechanism of the pollen-collecting hairs of the style, which pick up the pollen upon anther dehiscence, as well as the significance of those hairs in relation to pollination was investigated.

thank yuo for this beautiful picture. I'm confused since Michauxia campanuloides looks different in Israel, the corolla lobes are curved upwards. You can see a picture I posted a few days ago. Your picture looks like a unique Michauxia tchihatchewii, with non-united petals. Ori
