Black-headed Bunting
Emberiza melanocephala

Kuşlar (Aves) sınıfının, ötücü kuşlar (Passeriformes) takımının, kiraz kuşugiller (Emberizidae) familyasındandır.
Karabaşlı kiraz kuşu ya da karabaşlı çinte olarak adlandırılır. Ergin erkeklerde, tepe ve başın yanları siyah, gerdan, boyun yanları, göğüs ve karın sarı, sırt ve kuyruk pas rengidir.
Üreme dışı giysisinde erkeğin başlığı beyaz kırçıllıdır.
Dişisi, büyük ve sade bir dişi serçeye benzer. Sarı kuyruk altı ve desensiz kanatlarıyla ondan ayrılır.
Genç dişinin karnı beyazımsı, yaşlı dişininki ise açık sarıdır. Kanadı çizgisizdir, tüy ve teleklerin açık renkli kenarları, kapalı kanadını açık renkli gösterir. Gencin ötüşü, bir kirazkuşuna göre çeşitli ve melodiktir. Ses: 'tyip' ve 'cüp'.

Habitatı
Tarlalar, bozkırlar, çalılıklar, bahçeler ve makide yaşar.

Yayılışı ve Yerel Adlar
Yaz göçmenidir. Türkiye'nin hemen hemen her yöresinde bulunur.

Beslenme
Yavrulama zamanında bitki tohumları, kısımları ve omurgasızlarla beslenir.
Yaz mevsiminde ekili dikili alanlardan beslenir. (Ayçiçeği çekirdeği, tahıllar ve üzüm ...) Toprakta, çalılıklarda ve alçak ağaçlarda beslenebilir.

The Black-headed Bunting, Emberiza melanocephala, is a passerine bird in the bunting family Emberizidae, a group now separated by most modern authors from the finches, Fringillidae.

It breeds in southeast Europe east to Iran. It is migratory, wintering in India. It is a rare but regular wanderer to western Europe.

Black-headed Bunting breeds in open scrubby areas including agricultural land. It lays 4-6 eggs in a nest in a tree or bush. Its natural food consists of insects when feeding young, and otherwise seeds.

This bird is 17cm long, larger than Reed Bunting, and long-tailed. The breeding male has bright yellow underparts, chestnut upperparts and a black hood.

The female is a washed-out version of the male, with paler underparts, a grey-brown back and a greyish head. The juvenile is similar, and both can be difficult to separate from the corresponding plumages of the closely related Red-headed Bunting.

The call is a soft zrit, and the song is a jerky zrit..zrit…zrit…srut..srut…srut.

Hi Huseyin. The Black-headed Bunting is such a cute looking little bird. You have taken a first class side view which shows its wing markings so well. Very good detail and colours. well done TFS.

It does not matter to me which camera or lens you use, your images are always "par excellance". I am sure even if you take a photo with your cellphone you will have excellent results.
