Hello Akif,
After visiting your site, I understand why you are calleed 'Raptorman'! This is a lovely clear shot. The bird is holding on in a wonderful, parallel way to give you great composition. What a pity it isn't looking at the camera so its eye could be seen. Never mind! We can't always have everything!

Hello Akif,

What a wonderful capture of this interesting, slender bird! I've never seen this species before!

Composition:

A very clean and simple composition! The lack of distracting objects is a great asset. The superb profile is well shown against the blue sky! Somehow I wish the large empty area in the left side was in the right side, so that the bird has the larger space in front, not behind. But this is just my preference, not a negative point.

Colors:

The very good and natural colors make your picture easy to look at! The colors are well saturated and look great on the blue background!

Contrast:

The contrast is very good as it shapes every detail of the subject! Blue and orange are complementary colors and make a great contrast. They emphasize each other!

Exposure:

Very good exposure to show excellent details in both shadows and highlights! The sun must have been pretty strong as you used such a short shutter speed! I wasn't able to find any over- or underexposed areas. Great camera work!

Focus:

Focus was precisely achieved on the subject! It rendered sharp details in both the plumage and the branch. The DOF was well controlled to avoid sharpness fall-off on the shrike's body!

The apricot coloured plumage on the breast and under belly is beautiful. I like the head turn pose too. This is a lovely image. Well done! TFS.
