It was an unlucy day about bad light condition but the sun shows his face only for five minutes. How lucky that this ibis was only 6 meters away from me as the sun shines.
Digiscoped via leica apo-televid x20. B/c and USM made on PS.


Glossy Ibis are the size of small herons but are easily identified by their all-dark plumage, long, down-curved, curlew-like bills and a neck which is held outstretched in flight and is so slender it looks distinctly fragile. At close range you can see the iridescent green, maroon and brown sheen which gives the bird its name. They are sociable birds, often feeding in small parties or flying over in a trailing line or in 'V' formation.
Breeds and winters in shallow freshwater lakes and marshes.
Scarce in western Europe, although it is regularly seen on the Camargue (France) and at most of the significant coastal wetlands in Spain but much more numerous in eastern Europe. Unmissable on the Danube Delta (Romania). Other good spots include lakes Kerkini and Mitrikou (Greece) and lakes such as Civril and Apolyont as well as the Gulluk and Efes Marshes in Turkey.

The POV and colours are perfect. The composition is very good.
I think it could also look good if you cut the lower part of the photo - the birds leg don't have to be seen.
Anyway, the shot is great and I like it very much.

You did get lucky with the light. It's very pretty. Very nice colours. Like the angle of the beak. I agree that you could have cropped the leg out.

The colors on this ibis are gorgeous. Great capture despite the poor lighting conditions. Details are sharp, and the composition is very good. Well done.
