[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have just told about our Belemedik trip on my previous post. After spring flowers, I send another macro shot from there. This is also not common subject on TN. Categories should be reviewed again. There is no categories arachnids (except for spider) and myriapods and others.
One of my first posts on TN is a cavernicolous species of DIPLOPODA (see the link), which is a classis of the subphylum MYRIAPODA.
The classis CHILOPODA is new for me and this is Scolopendra cingulata (Latreille, 1829) - Çiyan [TR] from the order SCOLOPENDROMORPHA with 21 to 23 segments.

The classis CHILOPODA contains about 3000 described species, estimating about 8000 species worldwide. It is represented in Turkiye by 123 species at least. Many species were described in our country and there are many endemic species. This fauna group of Turkiye is still unknown very well and they were studied especially by Ralph Vary Chamberlin, Karl-Wilhelm Verhoeff, and Carl Michael Theodor von Attems and also recently Marzio Zapparoli.

This was taken in pine forest near Belemedik and its is the most characteristic species of the centripeds.
Radomir Jaskula (cicindela) wrote a nice summary about the species and so I will not more.

I'd like to dedicate this macro to my friend and another zoologist Radomir.

Salam Ahmet. We have this species here around dam area and sometimes under the carpet. Looks scary and rather painful if bitten. Nice clear shot at this and well done. Regards. Jusni

Hi Ahmet

Very good POV - close enough for me - the sinous shape is well captured. Good detail and exposure too.

Our friend Radomir would like this dedication, I'm sure Ahmet, you have a good exposure and spot on focus on this smallish specimen while it is trying to hide its head from you! Good comp. showing this chilopodian in its natural environment.

Merhaba Ahmet,
I like the pose, POV and composition of this portrait of a centipede. You also used the flash well without causing distracting reflections. Thanks for sharing this interesting contribution to TN: I am sure that our friend Radomir would be delighted with the dedication.
Best wishes, Ivan

Hello Ahmet!
First of all I am sorry for delay with writting a details comment :>
This dedication is a great honour for me, thank you very much!!! :>
It is really interesting to compare colouration of our Scolopendra specimens. The some species but different colouration! Really interesting, especially if we note that some other individuals can be even... green! (or at least bwown-green).
Thank you also for details about Turkish fauna of this group. I am specializing in rather different invertebrates, but there is always nice to read about another group! :>
Friendly yours,
Radomir
