It is a great joy to see this beautiful flower which is rather rare here, hidden amidst green grass. It always smiles to the seer... Hope you like it.

Dianthus armeria (Deptford Pink) is a species of Dianthus ("pink") native to most of Europe, from Portugal north to southern Scotland and southern Finland, and east to Ukraine and the Caucasus.

It is a herbaceous annual or biennial plant growing to 60 cm tall. The leaves are hairy, dark green, slender, up to 5 cm long. The flowers are 8–15 mm diameter, with five petals, bright reddish-pink; they are produced in small clusters at the top of the stems from early to late summer.

It is widely grown as an ornamental plant in gardens. Populations have been introduced to and have become naturalised in New Zealand and much of North America. Deptford Pink is also sometimes called mountain pink, but this may refer to several different species.

Hi Sayat.
What a cute flower and bud you have selected as a subject for shooting. I am impressed of beautifulness of the reproduction of the charming pair. Amazing details of the petals and flower heart, cute hair of the leaves and nice colourfull well blurred BG. Well done and TFS.

Good idea, showing both the full bloom and the yet unopened bud within the same frame Sayat, and both in perfect focus and lovely colors. Nice effect my friend.

Very nice composition, the colours and the details are first rate, a very fine capture.

Getting both bud and flower in focus is really impressive...It adds so much to this image.

Bonjour Sayat,
Comme toi j'aime beaucoup les sortes d'oeillets sauvages. Celle-ci est particulièrement attractive et tu as su rendre par ton image sa finesse et son éclat. Par contre je déteste les sortes cultivées..
