21x17cm??? Yes this is a real Goliat among Mediterranean shells dear Mehmet! I did not know that so huge molluscs occur in this region :)

Hello Mehmet,
This attractive shell is well portrayed stimulates me to read your note. The title already hints that this is large, but as large as 20cm is astounding for a Mediterranean shell! The colour is beautiful too, a delicate shade of violet pink.
The other astounding aspect is your description of its weapon: up to 4% sulphuric acid! We produce 2% hydrochloric in our stomachs but 4% H2SO4 is amazing! One wonders where the sulphur comes from: does it derive it from its prey?

I am terribly fascinated by shells...they have such a spot in history and geology....and in legend as well...I am a water sign, which prolly makes not much difference, but aI am very much attracted to the sea. And the way in which you pose your shells is wonderful. Consistency! It is like scientific clockwork!

Wow! That is one biiiig shell!
This thing could almost hypnotise you with its never-ending spiral!
Great contrast produced by the black BG which gives this shot a classy and proffesional look.
Razor-sharp with great detail.
Nice composition as well.
Excellent DOF.

Hello Mehmet,
I never thought there were such giants in the Mediterranean! The shell is beautifully captured, very sharply and in fine light. The note about the inside sounds less 'beautiful'! It seems to have a similarity in its predatory behaviour pattern to some tropical molluscs. Many thanks for this interesting presentation!

Once more simply outstanding shot of the shell. First of all pictured specimen is amazing. However the shot cannot be better. Extreme details, great wide DOF and sharpness of all object, pleasant colours and superb light. Bravo. Well done.
