I was pleasantly surprised when I clicked on the thumbnail. The star trails are really cool and the light on the rocks makes this image special! Nice work!

I don't know how you did it but it is a remarkable achievement and the effect of shooting stars around the Pole Star is great with the night sky lighting showing the mountainous horizon.

Ahh...so this is what Santa guides its route in the world by... :))
This is an impeccable shot of startrails! I've been wanting to capture some good ones, too, but still didn't manage to do so yet.
However, you photo acts as a good example, especially for the technical part.
The extra long shutter speed has helped you get the lovely arch trajectory of the stars but also some much needed light on the landscape - with its rocks and trees.
I know you shot this at ISO 100, but i'm curious how noisy was the actual picture (because i know how sensors heat up at such long shutter speeds).
Anyway, a truly wonderful result!

I hope you had a great Christmas together with your loved ones and i wish you only the best for the next year!

This is still high on my list of to do. But haven't found the time, location and weather for it yet. This acts as a good example and surely an inspirational.

I was about to think this is very much UE when I looked at the thumbnail but the full view changed my mind when I see your intention with the capture of sky effect.

This is incredible result of 2.5hrs to show such a truly circular motion effect on the galaxy stars and the mountain view is visible although slightly UE in exposure. I like the work for this kind of nature.

Amazing shot. I would love to try this but I live too close to Gatwick Airport to get a dark sky. You have the perfect star trails along with a stunning mountain scene to add interest and scale.
