Centaurea tchihatcheffii is an endangered species, endemic to Mogan Lake, Ankara, Turkey. It is named after the Russian scientist Pierre de Tchihatcheff who discovered the lovely flower in 1848 at a village near Afyon, where the plant is extinct today. In Turkish, one of the plants names is "Flower of Love" (Sevgi Çiçegi).
This photo is taken at the Nezahat Gökyigit Botanical Garden is Istanbul where there are serious efforts to protect the plant. |

Bonjour Sayat,
Intéressante macro bien éclairée dans un cadrage parfait permettant d'apprécier la finesse des détails et la délicatesse des couleurs.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hi Sayat.
What a wonderful subject and nice picture. I like perfect composition of the shot, attractive slim stem of the flower, luxury richly colored petals and charming hoverfly on it. My kind regards and compliments.
Alexei.

hi sayat
Although I find this may be a result of strong contrast/saturation, the effect is still good for this presentation of the macor of bee on a flower. Very good choice of POV and angle of shot to give nice bokeh effect on BG and getting sharpness on your subject.
Great work.
