Karagöl Lake (Boklar Mt., Nigde)

Dear Friends,

Because I will leave Izmir and go to Ankara to continue my master degree, I want to dedicate this post to my teachers/lecturers and colleagues/friends at Ege University Faculty of Science Department of Biology. I must especially mention the names: Prof. Huseyin ARIKAN (my supervisor), Prof. Bayram GÖÇMEN (boreocypriensis), Prof. Abidin BUDAK, Res. Ass. Mehmet Zülfü YILDIZ (zulfu), Bahadır AKMAN (bahadir) and Deniz YALÇINKAYA (xTauruSx). I can say that they are my second family and I want to thank them for sharing knowledge and for their good frienship. The lake is frozen but I’m sure that our relationships will always be warm.

This lake is a biotope of an endemic Taurus Frog (Rana holtzi) as you know from Bayram Göçmen’s posts. They have a project on its population dynamics and breeding biology. This photo was taken in November, during the last field trip of 2008.

epey vakit geçmiş, bu güzel kareyi gönderdiğinden beri. ama yazmak yeni kısmet oldu. eline sağlık. benim de çok sevdiğim bir yer, Karagöl. kış manzarasıyla çok güzel görüntülemişsin. Ege Biyoloji, benim içinde ikinci bir aile ortamıydı. hala özlemle ve sıkça yaad ederim.
