Lovely shot nice and peacefull/tranquil
I dont agree about the crop as you would then lose the long
neck reflections which is an important part of this photo as
they lead you to the birds

I love the dramatic impact of your photo, the dark stormy looking background and then with the well illuminated swans in the foreground. The linear bands (dark sky, reed, swans and water) work well to make a very strong image. I agree with avibram and think the image works well with the reflections in the water.

Nice capture, with beautiful subjects and a beautiful image where I much like the composition and the use from you of the DoF, compliments.
