[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Common Myna or Indian Myna (Acridotheres tristis) also sometimes spelled Mynah, is a member of the starling family. It is a species of bird native to Asia with its initial home range spanning from Iran, India and Kazakhstan to Malaysia and China. An omnivorous open woodland bird with a strong territorial instinct, the Myna has adapted extremely well to urban environments.
The Myna has been introduced in many other parts of the world and its distribution range is on the increase to an extent that in 2000 the IUCN Species Survival Commission (IUCN) declared it as one of the just three birds among the World's 100 worst invasive species. It is a serious threat to the ecologies of Australia.
We saw two pairs in Istanbul, however, I do not know the first occurrance time of this bird in Turkey. In Turkey the only records was from Istanbul and Ankara. No data about their invasive status in Turkey.

Merhaba Mustafa,
A fine capture of a Common Mynah: I didn't know they occurred in the wild in Istanbul! This species is spreading, perhaps to W. Europe!
Taken from a great POV with fine sharpness though the orange flower obscures one foot.
Nice shot and thanks for the info!
Best regards,
Ivan
