Myotis bechsteinii (Tr. Büyükkulaklı Yarasa, En. Bechstein's Bat)
One of the very rare bat species in Turkey. It was recorden mostly from the northern part of Turkey. We determined about 60-70 specimens inside an empty water sorage building around Kumluca town of Bartın.
As you allready know, Ahmet Karataş is a bat speciealist and he determined this colony. As he said, this colony is very important since this species is very scare.
