Ahh Hierapolis, what a great place, it was minus 2 deg when I was there in February, too cold for lizards then, but superb ruins.

You're right, very nice pose. Looks like a lizard weighing and pondering! ... Excellent handling of light, the details very well achieved, taking into account the solar incidence quite acute. Beautiful composition by exploiting the angles of the rock. Excellent background of sky, very clear and blue consistent.

A very fine view of this Agama lizard. Nice place for sunbathing, and maybe he's spotted a big fly! :-) They're fascinating creatures with their big heads and spiky skin. Excellent details and colours.

Hello my friend Bayram,
Very curious lizard! He has a keen eye and you too! Beautiful capture on the stone. I like the composition very well. It seems that the Laudakia stellio daani of Turkey has more reddish colours on the face than the species I saw on Ikaria island. I will post some on the following days.
Today, on a road on Samos island around 2 pm, I saw a big snake (Natrix sp. I suppose) harrassed by a hedgehog. Amazing scene. I'm still impressed. Unfortunately, it takes only 3 sec before they dissapear in the rocks and shrubs along the road... not enough for me to stop the scooter and take my camera. I didn't know that the hedgehog can be so aggressive and active at day. I'm sure you will have some answer about it.
