Suggest to change the angle by move to the left one step to seperate that one leaf at the back of the bird.

A great photo in a great atmosphere. The light is so beautiful. Wonderful colours with a beautiful OOF BG. Excellent sharp details and a very good POV and composition. That one reed is a pity.

beautiful capture.
Bitterns leaves among reef. They ought to be there. It shows their natural environment. (I'm even surprised than there aren't more leaves.
The pose and the eye contact are both so great.
Have you use Neatimage or the like? Possibly a slight overuse of the effect. But I would need to see the original to really comment on that.
