Termites

I agree with cedryk that there's quite a few images of termites at TrekNature.
These creatures were found in the evening of my very first day in Turkey under a piece of ruberoid. They were busy mending their earthen galleries and rather slow when compared with ants, so I was able to take some pictures. I've already seen the termites in Azerbaijan and Turkmenia before but never photographed them. Ignorant of which species it is, I would appreciate any help with ID. |

Hello Dmitry,
This is my first time to see termite this close. Composition, pov, dof, and exposure are great. Well done and seen.

Hi, Dmitry
I know how restricted DOF is when using reversed lenses, but this image is not very sharp as posted. However, the lighting is nice and there is still a lot of interesting detail here. I've done a quick workshop on it, mainly to try to sharpen it up a little - I hope you like it.
Best wishes, Nigel.

Hello Dmitry,
not so colourful and nice in appearance but netherless with fine and delicate structures. The antennae are particularly impressive. Also interesting to see the organ systems beyond the opaque cuticle. Well captured.

Very nice composition of these rather rare seen insects. Great light and excellent sharpness.
