Wow...so much movement and sctivity captured in such a nice frame. Well done!
I really like the sharpness of the details here and teh great, well saturated colors - they all look great despite the huge distance between you and your subjects.
Also the exposure is spot-on, the POV is excellent and the DOF great.

The desperate struggle of the coot to fend off the offensive attack from the greedy and parasitical gull to snatch away its catch is well captured in this 'sporty' shot, Sebnem. The still water-bound flight path of the escapee suggests powerful forward thrust which, going by your note, resulted into success :-)!

I have also found a car to have a good use as camouflage.Well noticed and captured as it is a lovely decisive moment.That coot really does seem to be running for its life.Good detail and clarity and a good cut and composition.Take care.

I don't like it: nothing to quarrel.

In spite of the great focal length, the quality of the focus and sharpness they are really very good.

la netteté n'est pas parfaite mais avec un 500mm multiplié par 1.4 cela se comprend,le moindre mouvement et c'est la sanction.toujours est il que de prendre ces deux espece en pleine querelle pour de la nourriture releve de l'exploit.

Very nice shot! I really like the splash trail the coot has left making his lucky escape. A beautiful moment with nice detail for the distance.

I see you used Aperture-Priority. I also see you have managed a shutter speed of 1/1250 which obviously helped to freeze and capture the coots splash trail.
With my D200, I seem to have a very difficult time achieving high shutter speeds...;-(
So, are you tending to favor one camera over another more yet?

Belle photo de cet oiseau qui court sur l' eau,il me semble que quelqu' un d' autre l' a déja fait dans les humains, mais je ne me souvien plus qui??? Hahaha.le vol du second juste au dessus fait bien comprendre qu' il sagit d' une question de voler la nourriture de l' autre. Belle prise bien nette comme d' habitude, pourtant ils étaient en mouvement et rapide. Amitiés Thomas
