[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) form very big flocks with more than ten thousand birds. Here is the defence flight of them. You can see a bigger dot on lower-left side of the flock. It is a raptor and attacking the flock. This shape is the Starling's defence method.

Hello Nuray,
This is an amazing capture, a raptor seeming to cause a tight flock of Starlings to form an exclamation mark.
Surely this sharp and well presented shot must be one of the more remarkable on TN.
TFS,
Regards, Ivan

Hi Nuray
Great picture. I've already seen your previous post with starlings. Both are excellent. The phenomenon is very interesting and your capture also wonderful. It is really exclamation mark.

Hi Nuray

This is a totally unique capture! Wow!
The shape of this flock is really amazing and i guess i could say "wierd", too :)) I've never seen such a flock shape before...
Anyway, you managed to capture a superb behavior shot, as well, showing this defensive method of the starlings.
Good details and sharpness all over, lovely blue-sky BG, nice framing and composition.

Bravo and TFS
Horia
