Friends, I am vacationing in the UAE till the 18th of this month, after which I proceed to India.
I visited the Sharjah beach yesterday evening, wanting to take some sunset pictures with my new Sony P200. Got stuck in traffic and reached the beach only after the sun had gone down. It was a working day here so there were not many people on the beach.
I took a few shots in the fading light and share one of them here.
This is actually my first tryst with the sea, (or rather with the Persian Gulf), with a digital camera. As such, this might look somewhat amateurish to most of you.

Thanks for looking, anyway.

Hello Ram,
Don't worry about missing sunset, this scane is also magnificent.
I liked clear details,POV,sharpness, framing, lighting and composition a lot.Enjoy your new camera:)
TFS...:-)

Hi Ram,
I like this wide open space. Without the sun, everything here looks blue. A nice and enjoyable picture. TFS

Hi Ram,
It's a nice shot, a lot of foreground interest. Nice and sharp, good detail and nicely framed. I think there are so many different ways to take these kind of shots, slower shutter speeds, wide-angle, narrow-angle, I think it's all a matter of choice and I like what you've done here.

I think there is a blue cast so I posted a workshop, hope you don't mind and like the result.
Regards,
Adrian

Hi Ram,
This is a very pleasant baech capture, my friend!
A lovely point of view, and the waves rolling in are beautiful and an image of eternity...
Superb colours and very nice details, this is an image to be proud of!

Hi Ram,
No such thing as a bad seascape in my book. You may have missed the best light, but your overall composition and framing on this is excellent. I am sure the fading light gave a slower shutter speed, but you kept good detail without much camera shake. I would say you did very well under the conditions.

Ram,

I agree with the others about the composition. It is very good.

The color cast is problem for me, however. It sets a nice mood, but is a little bit unrealistic for me. I have posted a workshop where I removed a bit more blue and green which warms it up somewhat (maybe too far?).

Nice shot Ram,
I think Adrians WS improved it nicely..
I tried my own, pulling down the green a bit, in addition to the blue..
Well done and TFS!

Hello Ram,
Looks pretty good to me but I've never even see a sea in reality! The only thing that looks a little odd is a colour of the foam. It suppose to be white, no matter what colour the water has. Yours seems to be a little greenish blue.
Anyway, well done on this one!

Dear Ram,
Sea is alwais a part of Nature's beauty - with or without the sun showing. Your new Sony camera has very well depicted the culors in the evening dusk.
Best regards,
Anton

Anyway this a good picture.
