Lotus corniculatus is one of the commonest European perennial herbs (not to say a weed). In israel it reached its southernmost range in Mt Hermon, above 2000m. The local population has magnificent reddish flowers, it is a small carpet forming plant of mountain valleys (dolines).

This is a good photo of this littel flower. Excelent colors and good sharp image. Nice composition with the sharp clear flowers in front and blurry background.

Excellent shot of Bird's-foot Trefoil. In the UK the flowers are mainly bright yellow - though I have seen variants with a similar colour to this one. They remind me of a sunset! Lovely, clear detail on the flowers with a subtle background to make them stand out. TFS.

Bonjour Ori,
L. corniculatus est très variable, dans ses formes et ses couleurs. On peut trouver également en France des fleurs à couleur orange ou rouge, mais celles que tu montres sont vraiment spectaculaires.

A beautiful view of this lovely flower - it is hard to believe that it is so common. Great work.

A striking image, the color is so brilliant. That species is a weed in much of North America now too, not too bad though, relatively well-behaved as far as non-native weeds go, at least so far. The ones here have yellow flowers, quite attractive actually.
