Now you can see our Project place, Karagöl (ing. Meaning Black Lake) at an altitude of approx. 2600 m. i took this shot before sunset while i was at 3200 m asl., and the lake has almost froze and Taurus frogs (Rana holtzi) also almost hibernated under glacier stratifications. I think you can assume the temperature there :). Brrrrr….
But we have to been there with pleasure :) to gain info on our endemic frog which lives only here. That is the why I used the title “Love me, Love my Dog” proverb:).

The silvery color effect under the clouds here affected to me on the taking this shot. Hope you can like this too cold landscape:)

TFL and have a nice Sunday!
Cheers

Dear Barea,

First of all the image is good overall. It's a real winter landscape, something we don't see often from Turkey. What I find worse is the sign on the sky - I know it has nothing to do with making the photo itself, but aesthetically it isn't good at all by my opinion. Right lower corner with that small, in the image less functioning area (foreground) would have been much better choice for a sign.
Otherwise everything's OK and I congratulate for the great shot. Have a nice Sunday, László

Hehehe.. baslik cok guzel dayi. Sanirim Turkce de "gulu seven dikenine katlanir" sozune uyuyor:). Manzaraya bakinca bu sogukta usumem bir kat daha artti:D hakkaten Brrrrr:))
Renk gercekten cok enteresan.. Eline ve emegine saglik.

Hi Bayram

I'm still searching for the dog (chuckle), but meanwhile this shot so effectively portrays the conditions that I can almost feel it all the way down here in sunny Zululand.

This image just once again shows how the effect of light and colour hues comes to play in photography. Various shades of blue, a splash of black and a bit of white can produce an image that is visual pleasing although the result is rather evident of "arctic warmth". Ok, I'm only trying to be positive as to not remind you of the miserable surroundings you find yourself in. That is why I did not mention any of the words such as; chilly, nippy, freezing, icy, sub-zero, frosty, frigid, wintry, bleak or frozen. Anyway, rather you than me. I don't function that well in this kind of conditions. As a final thought I'd just like to give you credit for your dedication to conduct your work under such difficult conditions.

Well done and take care my friend.
Regards
Loot

Hello Bayram,
Difficult surroundings for a frog (and you). The silvery-blue colours in this photo are very beautiful. The contrasts are fantastic. Good choice of POV and composition.
Regards,
Peter

Hello Bayram! Amazing vertical composition, excellent landscape. Mysterious mountains. Wonderful POV and capture. Perfect work. Great effect. Well done!

Hi Bayram,

Great use of light and very deep with vertical arrangement.

I hope you continue well and find your "snow frog". Hard to believe that a frog living in those conditions, must be a very singular kind!

Hi Bayram. How is the trip going. Your picture today looks from a very cold mountain side. It a wonder you will find any frogs up there in the cold. But i must say its a beautiful looking place in the late day time light. Well taken TFs.
Nick..

Keep safe MF.

Günaydin Dostum Bayram!
A fine snowy capture that could be from swedish Lapland now!
The convoluted pattern of the rocks and snow make a fine composition taken with excellent sharpness and exposure.
As this is the sort of habitat frequented by the Wall creeper, Rhodopechys sanguinea and Serinus pulsillus, it has always been my dream to visit it, but it never happened and now I'm too old!
Thanks and have a good week MF!
Ivan
