This was taken with an older canon of mine that I no longer have.
The sun had just gone down and I noticed this huge bee sitting on a flower in my garden so I started taking pictures of it as I normally would. I then though to myself what if I would turn the flash on and put the shutter real quick and see what comes of that. What came of that was the bee and the flower being lit up from the flash but since it was dusk the background turned out dark because of the shutter speed. It almost looks like I had the bee in front of a black backdrop.
Afterwards I noticed the bee went up under the flower, curious as to why I did some research on the net and I guess when they are about to die they crawl up under the flower and spend their last minutes there.
It almost doesn’t even looks like a bee, almost seems like its wearing a fur coat and you can see every detail. |

Great job.
My compliments and best wishes

Justin, this is very sharp and vivid. Just wish you had given it a tad more space. I feel it is a bit too tightly cropped. But your work is excellent.
