[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Eating small fish” is the name of this photograph taken at Cape Spear. The small fish are called capelin and they often roll on the beaches. In fact, we enjoyed a feed off capelin as well. They are delicious small white fish with a sweet taste and apparently these whales love the flavor.
This photograph was taken from one of the lookouts a cape Spear using a 300 MM lens in action mode. The shutter speed was 1/800, and the F. stop was 5.6.
I believe these are minke whales and are considered to be reasonable abundant.
They appear to be having a big feed.

Quite a minimalist shot, Jim. I like the lovely tones of blue in the water, and its texture. The whales' texture contrasts that of the ocean very nicely.
