[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Ray of Light” Is the name of this photograph which was taken on a short walk in the woods behind our house. As I was trying to capture, twigs, ice and water a sudden ray of light beamed between the branches of large trees overhead. Accidentally I captured the small glimmer of illumination.
For some reason this shot appeals to me but I’m not sure why?

One of the most unique and interesting compositions I've seen here. Makes you wonder and makes you keep looking around the photo over and over again. I think this is a rare effect a photo can cause!
You did a great job both on noticing this beauty and on taking the shot so well too! TFS
Goes to my favourites for a reminder on the power of creativity.

Hi Jim,
this shot also appeals to me.I have uploaded something similar to TN as well.What it is that I find appealing is how intimate this sort of shot is as it is only a tiny detail of a larger whole that shows a quiet and peaceful beauty to it that most people see but not really see,glad you did.There is a good contrast of textures in this shot as well as light and the reflection looks very good as well.The main thing is it shows not all is totally frozen over with ice and one must keep that in mind because walking on it could be a very bad thing despite how peaceful it might be,sort of a dual nature.Thanks for this photo that shows transition of the seasons.
