Very Thirsty
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
“Very Thirsty” is the name of this photo and it shows an Owl Butterfly (Caligo beltrao) getting a drink from a fountain. This was taken a live butterfly exhibition and you can see some damage to his wings.
These South America beauties have a distinctive look and the function of the owl butterflies' "false eyes" is still unresolved. The only thing that can be excluded quite certainly is that they deter predators by making the butterfly resemble an owl.
It was a very hot and humid, and unfortunately as a result, the sensor went in my Sony 717, which they replaced free of charge due to a manufacturing defect. So if you have a similar problem with a Sony camera you can contact Sony for a new sensor. |
