I had to stand very still in order to get close as squirrels are very gittery. Managed to get about a metre away and held the camera at full zoom 10x

Good for a start -- composition, contrast, color are fine -- but why don't you try it again with a little less zoom so you don't cut off the feet, and then one click of the sharpness button in your photo-editing software and you will have a first-rate picture. Gary
