Hi Sky,
A beautiful image...very attractive to the eye.Not an easy exposure with all that glistening ice but you have handled it well.A lovel backdrop of the blue sky.I read about previous ice-storms in Canada....they can be very destructive as well as very beautiful.

An excellent picture! Really looks like all is made of glass. A landscape inusual to me that I want to visit, but only few hours, cold surely is terrible and I´m not adapted to such conditions.

Hi Sky, now that's the kind of scenery I've been missing. You've done an excellent job with very good exposure, picking up the sun's reflection. It kind of reminds me of the storm of '98. In fact this almost looks like the field behind our place back then. I'm getting a nostalgia attack. Am I dating myself here?

This is an interesting shot Sky. I like the trees a lot. I do find the OE/clipped clouds a bit distracting. I know what you mean about the damage the ice can do. When we had such a storm it sounded like we were in a war zone with the branches and whole trees snapping and falling.

You caught this scene perfectly with the backlight to really make the ice shine like crystal. Beautiful against that blue sky. Great composition and detail. We dodged the last icestorm, but got hit hard several weeks ago. This looks great!

What an amazing capture!
I never had the chance to see something like this live, but i would sure love to see such an outcome.
Your photo here is unique, original and very artistical.
The contrast between the bright reflections of the ice and the bark and branches of the tress is gorgeous and all of them with that splendid blue sky in the BG looks fantastic.
Nothing more to add really...delighting composition!

zauberhafte lichtdurchflutete Winterlandschaft.
Durch den breiten Rahmen fehlt es diesem feinen und detailreichen Bild ein wenig an Auflösung. Für optimale Präsentation dieses schönen Fotos erschiene mir die Ausnutzung der vollen Bildbreite von 800 pixel angebracht.
Auch bei uns herrschen Wetterkapriolen. Ein Orkan zog dieser Tage Spuren der Verwüstung quer durch Mitteleuropa.
