HI Mike, this is a very nice composition. Great use of space and it is all in harmony. My only teeny nit would be the leaves at the top, I'd prefer to see it simplified but I do realise that's way easier said than done! Nice work.

Very, very, well done. Flawless composition and framing. Color saturation and detail look superb. Perfect backround with great seperation from it. Nice camera work!

How do you like using extension tubes with the zoom? I bought a set of Kenko tubes, but it cuts down so much light and DOF. I really am saving for a good macro, but thought this would hold me over. Maybe I am not giving it enough practice, but I think I would need a tripod for every shot??

wow - there is so much detail visible. the mayfly looks wonderful with its wings highlighted and the detail in them is great.

A fascinating creature and a wonderful photo does it justice. Beautiful composition and a wonderfully blurred background. I gather that a lot of members use PS trickery to blur their backgrounds, is this natural or PP'd? Judging by the aperture and short DOF, I'd say natural.
