This is a very nice shot. Good colors, nice and sharp details. DOF & POV are great. Too bad the distracting oof leaf attracts ones attention. Other than that; great. TFS!

It's an interesting looking hover, I haven't seen this one before. The detail is very good, and the lilac colours of the flower are very contrasting and enhance the photo. Shame about the blurred petal on the left, though.

Wow, Mike, that's a winner! I really like the contrasting but subtle colors. The shapes are great too, especially those wiggly stamen compared to the smoth ovals of the leaves and fly parts. I like the way the pollen stands out, too.

Don't think I've seen any of our hoverflies with such a fat abdomen, only slim models here.
