hello friends, a photo from last year,
the duck it is from far, the quality
of the photo it is not at the top but it is
the duck's pose on the airs that i love

from Hinterland Who's Who website :

http://www.hww.ca/hww2.asp?cid=7&id=54

« Mallards are hardy ducks, wintering regularly
in southern Ontario and southern British Columbia.
Some will remain as far north as they can find
open water. Even in Alaska, some birds are found
throughout the colder months, and in Alberta,
Mallards stay on the open waters of the North
Saskatchewan River as far north as Edmonton.

The great majority, however, migrate to the central
and southern United States, where lakes and ponds
are ice-free throughout the year. Mallards are
essentially freshwater ducks, although some
may winter on coastal bays. »

Merci

Asbed

Hi Asbed,

I love the pose too! The Mallard is nice and sharp with good details of the head and body. He looks so high above the trees with the changing colors. The scene and composition are wonderful.

Bonjour Asbed,

Hello Asbed,
This shot of a male Mallard coming in to land is well composed and well timed and the mallard is shown with fine sharpness and detail, despite the distance. This, taken almost a year ago reminds me that it is time to look for autumn splendour as shown by the maples in this shot.
Thanks and all the best,
Ivan
